The Hop Box expanded its horizons and launches a new event called Peddler Market. This monthly street food market is located in Sheffield’s vibrant Cultural Quarter, which is known for its lively atmosphere and eclectic mix of creative and cultural experiences.
Peddler Market moves to its permanent home at 92 Burton Road in Neepsend. This new location is a game-changer for the market, providing a larger space and more opportunities to showcase some of the best street food vendors in the region.
Following its relocation to Neepsend, the popularity of Peddler Market soars. This is a testament to the market’s continued commitment to delivering a unique street food experience for its visitors, as well as helping shape Sheffield’s vibrant and eclectic food scene.
Having settled into its new home at 92 Burton Road, Peddler Market launched Peddler Warehouse. The 7,500 sqft event space hosts weddings, live music, corporate events and more.
Peddler Market begins a new partnership with Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival. Taking over their VIP space, Peddler Market deliver some of the hottest street food to VIP ticket holders each year.
Peddler Market announces its first event outside of Sheffield, Peddler Market Chesterfield. Hot off the success of Peddler Market pop ups in Chesterfield, the famous street food and entertainment market landed in Wakefield. The event at the Tileyard continues Peddler Markets’ growth and ambition to bring the best street food and drink to other locations in the UK.
The turn of the new year saw Peddler Market expand once again. In April, Peddler Market brought the UK’s best street food vendors and vibrant atmosphere to Project House in Leeds.

Peddler turns up the volume and adds 3 additional official stages to the monthly Night Market. – Peddler began as a food-first gathering with a couple of music stages attached and is now evolving into something bigger: a free entry, five-stage monthly music festival spread across its familiar Kelham Island home, with live bands, DJs, record shops and local promoters taking centre stage.
Food isn’t going anywhere – far from it – but 12 years on Peddler is already synonymous with the best UK street food, so it’s time to highlight the musical talent on-site. We’ve always been a street food event with two music stages, now we’re excited to bring five stages, working with some of the best up and coming and well established promoters in and across the city. The changing music line up will help you ‘save the date’ making each month unmissable.
The first edition of the reformatted Peddler lands on the usual first Friday & Saturday of the month 5-6 June and promises a sprawling, multi-space experience inspired as much by classic city festivals as warehouse parties and independent culture.
